API Management Specialist – Hyderabad

About the role

The API Management Specialist will design, implement and maintain API proxies for BASF’s digital platforms. You will ensure all solutions follow BASF development standards, support testing activities, and drive automation across the API‑Management landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and document API proxies using Apigee Edge, SAP API‑Gateway or Azure API‑Proxy.
• Implement automation through management APIs and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide consulting on integration scenarios and support error‑correction and testing.
• Coach and train colleagues on API development best practices.
• Research emerging tools and assess their fit with BASF’s digital strategy.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Informatics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in API design and development.
• Experience working in Agile, cross‑functional DevOps teams.
• Strong focus on security and large‑scale enterprise environments.
