Airport Firefighter (ARFF Assistant)

About the role

Adani Airports Holding Limited is seeking an Assistant – ARFF to join its airport fire and rescue team. The role involves responding to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies and hazardous material situations on airport premises, ensuring the safety of passengers, crew and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to aircraft and structural fire emergencies, medical incidents and hazardous material events.
• Perform fire suppression using water, foam, dry chemicals and other agents.
• Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke‑filled or hazardous environments.
• Provide first aid and basic life support until advanced medical personnel arrive.
• Maintain daily inspections, servicing and readiness of fire trucks, extinguishers and personal protective equipment.
• Keep inventory of firefighting supplies and ensure compliance with ICAO‑mandated training and fire drills.
• Document incidents, training records and shift logs for regulatory audits.

Required skills

• Firefighting and fire suppression techniques.
• Rescue operations in hazardous conditions.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and first‑aid provision.
• Handling of hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of ICAO emergency response standards.
