Airport Firefighter (ARFF Assistant)

About the role

The Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Assistant will join Adani Airports’ emergency services team, providing rapid response to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies and hazardous‑material situations on airport premises. The role ensures the safety of passengers, crew and airport staff through firefighting, rescue and emergency medical services.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to aircraft emergencies, structural fires, medical incidents and hazardous‑material events.
• Perform fire suppression using water, foam, dry chemicals and other agents.
• Conduct search‑and‑rescue operations in smoke‑filled or hazardous environments.
• Provide first aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) until advanced medical personnel arrive.
• Assist in transporting patients to medical facilities when required.
• Carry out daily inspections and maintenance of fire‑fighting vehicles, extinguishers and personal protective equipment.
• Maintain inventory of fire‑fighting supplies and ensure readiness for deployment.
• Participate in routine emergency simulations, ICAO‑mandated training and fire drills.
• Prepare detailed incident reports, training records and shift logs for regulatory audits.
• Comply with all local, state and federal regulations and follow Standard Operating Procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to react quickly and safely to a wide range of emergency situations on airport property.
• Physical fitness to operate fire‑fighting equipment and perform rescue tasks in challenging conditions.
• Commitment to maintain equipment, complete inspections and keep records up to date.
• Willingness to follow SOPs and adhere to regulatory and safety standards.

Required skills

• Fire‑fighting techniques using water, foam and dry chemical agents.
