Advanced Payroll Analyst – US Payroll

About the role

EY is seeking an Advanced Payroll Analyst to support day‑to‑day US payroll processing across multiple states. You will ensure accurate, timely payroll execution while maintaining compliance with tax regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process multi‑state US payrolls, reviewing input files for hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, and tax updates.
• Perform payroll validations, audits, and reconciliation activities.
• Prepare payroll reports and related documentation.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve basic issues.
• Maintain payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
• Support quarter‑end and year‑end payroll activities.
• Coordinate with HR, Benefits, and Payroll Tax teams.
• Escalate discrepancies or compliance concerns as needed.

Required profile

• 1–3+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, HR, or related administration.
• Basic understanding of US payroll processing and payroll tax concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to learn payroll systems and compliance requirements.
