Accountant – Record to Report (R2R)

About the role

Caterpillar is seeking a skilled Accountant to join its Global Finance Services division in Bangalore. The role focuses on Record‑to‑Report (R2R) activities for global entities across the US, EAME and APAC regions, ensuring accurate financial records and insightful reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform R2R activities for global entities as part of the Centre of Excellence team.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP and internal standards.
• Prepare and analyse financial performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in special projects and ad‑hoc reporting requests as needed.
• Implement and uphold internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting policies.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of post‑secondary education in Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional certification (CA, CMA, US CPA) preferred.
• 2‑3 years of experience in captive accounting service centres or large manufacturing/service corporations.
• Basic proficiency with multiple ERP systems and accounting tools.
• Strong data‑analysis and interpretation abilities.
• Flexibility to work across APAC, EAME and US shift timings.
• Willingness to work a 5‑day week schedule.
