Test Lead – Manual Testing for US Healthcare & Medicaid Pharmacy

About the role

Gainwell is seeking a Test Lead to drive manual testing of its healthcare technology solutions focused on US Medicaid and pharmacy operations. This remote position supports the delivery of secure, high‑quality applications without handling protected health information.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain critical test processes for complex technical projects.
• Gather testing requirements, create executable test cases, and allocate work across a team of test engineers.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and analysis of application software, reporting defects to appropriate stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate requirements and ensure accurate defect communication.
• Assist in proposal writing and prepare effort estimates for test activities.

Required profile

• 15+ years of overall experience with at least 5 years in Medicaid pharmacy operations, MMIS/MES systems, PBM functions, or pharmacy claims processing.
• Strong knowledge of NDC, HCPCS, quantity limits, drug pricing, Medicaid PDL, clinical PA criteria, and DUR requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with EDI transactions (837, 835, 278) and familiarity with Medicaid pharmacy modules such as Gainwell, Conduent, Optum, or Magellan.
