Sr. Engineer II, Enterprise Platforms

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Engineer II to join its Engineering Platforms team. You will help design, build, and support enterprise‑grade services and internal developer platforms that enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise services using Java and OOP principles.
• Enhance the internal developer platform with a focus on usability, automation, and self‑service.
• Lead technical initiatives, mentor peers, and promote engineering best practices.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps processes using tools such as Git, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and SonarQube.
• Support and integrate platforms like Artifactory, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), SonarQube, and API management solutions (Anypoint, Apigee, Boomi, Kong).
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices, and collaborate with product, infrastructure, and support teams globally.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, on‑call rotation, and code reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, scalability, and security.
• Proven ability to take ownership of complex problems and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Experience working in agile, cross‑functional teams.
