Software Engineer II – Test Automation

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Software Engineer II focused on test automation to help deliver high‑quality payment solutions. You will work closely with development teams to embed quality engineering practices throughout the software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Quality Engineering best practices across multiple product verticals.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated acceptance and integration test suites.
• Collaborate with developers to build test infrastructure, perform code analysis, and integrate testing into CI pipelines.
• Partner with release engineers to automate test and deployment processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards and metrics.

Required profile

• Strong software development background with hands‑on coding experience.
• Ability to plan test strategy, define acceptance criteria, and consider functional, non‑functional, and user‑experience requirements.
• Experience working in Agile environments and communicating with engineers, program managers, and product owners.
