Shift Engineer – PTA 7 – DMD

About the role

The Shift Engineer will oversee production activities during plant shifts, supervising the crew and supporting the shift superintendent to meet production targets while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and executing shift operation plans in line with standards and regulations.
• Perform equipment monitoring, predictive maintenance, reporting and data analysis using the OMPro tool.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, monitor process parameters, and coordinate timely maintenance actions.
• Supervise safe shutdowns, efficient startups, and preservation of equipment during extended outages.
• Identify root causes of failures, recommend troubleshooting measures, and implement preventive actions.
• Maintain detailed shift logs and support plant upsets.
• Perform regular risk assessments, hand‑over/ take‑over checks, and lead toolbox talks.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct risk assessments and lead safety toolbox talks.
• Capability to coordinate with maintenance teams for job planning and execution.
• Understanding of plant communication requirements for raw‑material SOC management.

Required skills

• Equipment monitoring and predictive maintenance.
• Proficiency with the OMPro performance tool.
• Knowledge of rotary machine seal systems.
• Understanding of compressor lubrication systems, including temperature, pressure, and flow parameters.
• Familiarity with LO/LC valve status and field instrumentation.
• Data analysis for performance optimization.
