Senior WLAN Host Engineer

About the role

Qualcomm is seeking a Senior WLAN Host Engineer to design, develop and optimise Linux drivers for its Access Point System‑on‑Chip solutions. The role involves bringing up new drivers, performing unit testing, and ensuring high performance and reliability in both verification and customer environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Linux kernel drivers for WLAN and Ethernet components on AP SoC platforms.
• Conduct driver bring‑up, unit testing, and performance optimisation.
• Analyse and resolve complex system issues, including bug fixing during product verification and on‑site customer support.
• Document driver architecture, test procedures and release notes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate drivers into broader system software.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in WLAN/Linux driver development.
• Strong programming expertise in C and solid understanding of the Linux kernel and device driver model.
• Experience with networking components, Ethernet and Wireless LAN driver development preferred.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems in high‑pressure environments.
• Willingness to travel abroad for customer support.
