Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer specialising in SailPoint IdentityIQ, you will lead the IAM team at ANZ, designing and operating scalable identity solutions on AWS. You will mentor junior engineers, enforce governance and compliance, and collaborate across functions to secure identity operations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and design SailPoint IdentityIQ deployments on AWS with high availability and security.
• Define identity data models, role models, governance workflows and lifecycle processes.
• Integrate IdentityIQ with HR systems, cloud applications, on‑premise systems and APIs.
• Develop and maintain IIQ components such as rules, workflows, forms, connectors and reports.
• Build REST and SOAP integrations and custom provisioning logic.
• Deploy and manage IIQ using EC2, containers or IaC tools like Terraform.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting with CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Ensure secure AWS configurations (VPC, IAM roles, security groups) and manage upgrades, patching, backups and disaster recovery.
• Support production environments through incident management, runbooks and on‑call rotation.
• Enforce governance policies (SoD, RBAC, least‑privilege) and support audit/compliance activities.
• Mentor team members, drive automation and maintain technical documentation.

Required profile

• 8‑12+ years of software development or identity engineering experience.
• Proven hands‑on expertise with SailPoint IdentityIQ.
• Strong experience designing and operating solutions on AWS.
• Ability to lead technical design, mentor others and drive best practices.
