About the role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Medical Officer to join our Emergency Department team. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality emergency care to patients of all acuity levels while providing clinical leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical assessment, treatment and disposition for patients across all acuity levels.
• Lead, mentor and supervise junior medical staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Participate in clinical governance activities, including audits, protocol development and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes and patient safety standards.
• Ensure adherence to emergency department protocols and guidelines.

Required profile

• Qualified medical doctor with substantial experience in emergency medicine.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Commitment to high standards of clinical governance and quality improvement.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment.
