Senior Business Analyst – Government Technology

About the role

KPMG India is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support government technology projects. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that functional and non‑functional requirements are clearly captured and delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements from diverse stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS).
• Identify and document Non‑Functional Requirements such as performance, security, scalability and usability.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops and requirement‑elicitation sessions.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation.
• Maintain requirement traceability, manage change requests and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Prepare reports, presentations and documentation for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of SRS/FRS documentation and requirement‑gathering techniques.
• Experience handling Non‑Functional Requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Educational background: MBA and M.E./M.Tech or B.E./B.Tech in IT/Computer Science/Electronics or M.C.A.
