SAP HCM HR Authorizations Developer

About the role

We are looking for an SAP HCM specialist who will design, implement and maintain HR authorizations and security roles within our SAP Human Capital Management landscape. The role focuses on ensuring proper access controls for HR master data and core HR processes in a global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SAP security roles using PFCG, applying least‑privilege and segregation‑of‑duties principles.
• Administer users (SU01) and troubleshoot authorization issues (SU53, ST01, STAUTHTRACE).
• Configure HCM‑specific authorizations, including infotype‑based and structural authorizations for managers and HR roles.
• Support joiner/mover/leaver processes, role provisioning and approvals.
• Collaborate with GRC/IGA tools to perform access reviews, recertifications and audit‑ready documentation.
• Perform ABAP debugging for authorization checks and support basic Fiori/UI5 or Web Dynpro enhancements.
• Manage transport requests, testing and coordinate with HR business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of SAP Security fundamentals and HCM authorization concepts.
• Experience with role maintenance, user administration and troubleshooting tools.
• Understanding of HR master data sensitivities, personnel areas, and core HR processes (hire, transfer, termination).
• Ability to work with GRC/IGA processes and produce audit‑compliant documentation.
