Purchase Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Purchase Officer with 3‑5 years of experience in manufacturing or the beverage/alcohol sector. The role focuses on end‑to‑end procurement of raw materials, packaging, engineering items, consumables and services, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Generate Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) in SAP.
• Coordinate quotations, pricing, delivery schedules and payment follow‑ups with vendors.
• Conduct commercial negotiations to optimise costs and terms.
• Maintain and expand the vendor database, especially for critical items.
• Prepare MIS reports on procurement, pending orders, consumption analysis and vendor performance.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with stores and production to prevent stock shortages.
• Support audit documentation and compliance processes.
• Track market trends, pricing and supply risks for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing, brewery, distillery or FMCG.
• Engineering background (mandatory).
• Strong follow‑up and coordination abilities in a fast‑paced production environment.

Required skills

• SAP MM module proficiency.
• Experience with MIS reporting and data analysis.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Familiarity with reporting tools.
