Production Officer – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Production Officer is responsible for overseeing the end‑to‑end manufacturing process of biscuits, ensuring that production plans are executed accurately and that product quality meets defined standards.

Key responsibilities

• Raise indents according to the production plan and allocate workmen to stations.
• Supervise changeovers, inspect mixing machines, and conduct sample checks.
• Monitor and adjust operating parameters to maintain consistency and recipe adherence.
• Validate cutter settings, machine cleanliness, and synchronization at each changeover.
• Check baking profiles, burner conditions, oil‑spray and glazing effectiveness.
• Perform visual inspection of biscuits, authorize scrapping when necessary, and manage recycling of rejected product.
• Analyze equipment breakdowns, coordinate repairs with maintenance, and log shift activities.
• Conduct quality audits, handle consumer complaints, and lead root‑cause investigations.
• Participate in performance reviews, training of workmen, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Attend production, quality, and other relevant meetings to report on performance.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food production.
• Ability to monitor process parameters and take corrective actions.
• Strong understanding of quality standards and SOP compliance.
• Capability to coordinate with maintenance and lead shift‑level teams.
