Production Officer – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Production Officer will oversee biscuit manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal manpower deployment, process efficiency, and product quality. You will work closely with internal teams such as Engineering, Store, Quality, FCC, and HR, as well as external sales partners.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and manage manpower to maximise output and incentive eligibility.
• Verify standard procedures for weight, gauge, size, colour, and appearance of products.
• Set process parameters for each product variety and organise required materials.
• Collect and record data for Total Quality Management (TQM) and prepare control charts.
• Control change‑over time, manufacturing defects and production downtime within budget.
• Track raw‑material variances and maintain ISO, HACCP and FCC documentation.
• Check recipes, adjust variables (ammonia, SMBs, water, oven profile) to meet quality standards.
• Maintain biscuit grinder room, ensure dust traceability and proper record‑keeping.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Reduce waste caused by mechanical breakdowns and ensure hygienic conditions across the plant.

Required profile

• Engineer graduate, Food Technologist, M.Sc. in Food Science, Chemistry or B.Tech.
• 3‑5 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably biscuits.
• Knowledge of biscuit manufacturing processes and basic computer skills.
• Man‑management capability.
