Platform Engineer – Digital Transformation

About the role

BASF is seeking a Platform Engineer to drive its digital transformation initiatives in Hyderabad. You will design, develop, and operate applications, platforms, and infrastructure that support the company’s global SAP Application Platform and other digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, operate, and maintain applications, platforms, and infrastructure systems.
• Steer platform delivery by external providers, handling request fulfillment, escalation management, and ensuring SLA adherence.
• Ensure operational security, compliance, and resolve platform issues promptly.
• Optimize performance, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness of platforms.
• Write code, conduct testing, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, user‑friendly solutions.
• Coordinate independently across international, regional, and cross‑organizational interfaces.
• Communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholder groups and negotiate solutions.
• Support on‑call duties and shift work to maintain stable global SAP Application Platform operations.
