Packing Officer – Oral Liquid Production (Satara)

About the role

The Packing Officer will supervise shop‑floor activities in the Oral Liquid Packing area, ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards. The role operates across all shifts and reports to the Head of Packing Department.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all packing processes follow SOPs, cGMP, and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate material issuance, schedule execution, changeovers, and line start‑ups.
• Monitor daily performance, record BPRs, and manage reconciliation and rejections.
• Oversee serialization and aggregation system operations, including batch creation and closure.
• Maintain equipment safety, calibration, preventive maintenance, and qualification of new machines.
• Conduct packing validations for new packs and products.
• Prepare daily production reports and submit completed BPRs.
• Handle deviations, change control, and audit readiness for USFDA, MHRA, TGA, ANVISA, etc.

Required profile

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm / MSc with knowledge of oral liquid formulation.
• 3‑6 years of supervision experience on packing machines in a pharma environment.
• Familiarity with safety practices and regulatory audit exposure.

Required skills

• Operation of oral liquid and injectable packing equipment.
• Serialization equipment handling.
• Use of SAP for production tracking.
• Digital platforms such as electronic log, QMS and DMS.
• Calibration, preventive maintenance, and equipment qualification procedures.
