Network Test Qualification Engineer

About the role

Google's Platforms Team builds the hardware, software, and networking technologies that power its services. As a Network Test Qualification Engineer you will ensure the performance and reliability of Google’s large‑scale network by designing, executing, and automating comprehensive test programs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, document, and escalate bugs in networking hardware and software.
• Develop and execute test plans, including automated scripts and regression testing for Google platforms.
• Manage testing timelines, releases, and project plans for networking products.
• Write, review, and coordinate test plans with cross‑functional teams, gathering requirements for moderate to high‑complexity projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience testing Level 2 and Level 3 networking protocols and troubleshooting automation.
• Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, and creating test cases.
• Preferred: 2 years of software development and testing experience, plus automation and debugging skills.
