Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will manage product deliveries, driver activity, and compliance to ensure timely, safe, and efficient transportation. This role works closely with supply‑chain teams, warehouse staff, and drivers to meet delivery expectations while maintaining high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build, schedule, and consolidate product deliveries into truck loads using strategic routing software.
• Monitor driver activity throughout the day to ensure deliveries are completed, productivity and safety goals are met, and issues are resolved.
• Communicate delivery details, changes, delays, and special handling requests to internal personnel.
• Arrange preventive maintenance and repairs for equipment.
• Maintain customer, driver, warehouse, sales, and management satisfaction by meeting delivery expectations.
• Ensure FMCSA and DOT compliance for drivers and vehicles (Hours of Service, GVWR, medical and license expirations, etc.).
• Provide feedback to management through reports and observations for process improvement.
• Collect, upload, and store documentation for outbound freight, driver compliance, and vehicle maintenance in line with DOT or company guidelines.
• Monitor driver and equipment utilization and advise on under‑ or over‑utilization.
• Partner with supply‑chain teams to solve delivery problems and improve processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience dispatching drivers.
• Experience using both warehouse and transportation systems.
• Familiarity with routing software, preferably Descartes.
• Experience with safety‑oriented software such as LYTX or Drive Cam.
• Experience with ELD and asset‑tracking tools, preferably Geotab.
• Knowledge of DOT compliance requirements for drivers and vehicles.
