Legal Counsel

About the role

Join Getinge’s Global Legal team as a Legal Counsel based in India. You will provide high‑quality, strategic legal advice to support the company’s business operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on legal support for corporate governance, HR, finance, and commercial affairs of Getinge’s Indian entities.
• Identify, assess, and advise on legal and regulatory risks associated with business activities and specific transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including supply, distribution, licensing, confidentiality, healthcare provider, training, clinical trial, and grant contracts.
• Manage contracts with customers, suppliers, distributors, agents, service providers, and technology partners.
• Collaborate with global and regional legal teams to create and update contract templates and improve standard legal processes.
• Support the implementation of global legal and compliance processes within the Indian business unit.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with a strong background in corporate and commercial law.
• Experience advising multinational companies on Indian legal and regulatory matters.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a global legal team.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
