Lead Software Engineer – Commercial Solutions (Pune)

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join its Commercial Solutions team in Pune, India. You will help shape the next generation of B2B payment platforms, delivering secure, simple and smart digital experiences for corporate clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning, design and development of cloud‑native microservices.
• Build and own full‑stack applications and services, primarily using Angular for the front‑end.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and other engineers in an Agile environment.
• Drive data‑driven decisions and ensure high performance, scalability and security of the platform.
• Mentor junior team members and champion best engineering practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑stack software development, preferably in a lead or senior role.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture and cloud‑native principles.
• Ability to work onsite in Pune and collaborate within a cross‑functional Agile team.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a data‑centric mindset.
