Lead SAP Operations Specialist

About the role

The Lead SAP Operations Specialist acts as the bridge between factory operations, the Central Operations Team and the central SAP & Digital Technology organization. You will ensure that all digital solutions and processes reflect real manufacturing needs and are fully integrated with SAP as the single source of truth for operational data and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Represent factory operations in all IT and SAP‑related initiatives.
• Translate operational needs (warehouse, production, planning, logistics & quality) into clear business requirements.
• Assess existing operational systems and propose improvements or alternatives when tools do not meet needs.
• Guarantee that new digital tools are based on SAP master and transactional data and challenge solutions that duplicate or deviate from SAP.
• Act as the operational authority on SAP master data, transactions and integration points.
• Identify and drive improvements in process efficiency and data integrity within SAP.
• Maintain close collaboration with production, planning, supply chain and IT stakeholders.
• Work with IT to implement, test and deploy SAP‑based digital tools, ensuring proper documentation and user readiness through training materials and sessions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in SAP operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse, production, planning, logistics and quality processes.
• Ability to translate operational needs into detailed business requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across production, supply chain and IT teams.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data integrity and process optimisation.
