Key User – SAP S/4HANA Inventory Management

About the role

We are looking for a SAP S/4HANA Inventory Key User to act as the functional expert for inventory management processes within our global software technology division. The role involves ensuring accurate inventory accounting, compliance with Indian tax regulations, and supporting the transition from SAP R/3 to S/4HANA.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the S/4HANA Inventory expert, overseeing SAP Inventory Management processes.
• Validate asset accounting configurations, including depreciation areas, asset classes, and account determination.
• Ensure GST compliance, linking input/output tax with inventory movements and handling domestic vs import valuation.
• Document processes, support benchmarking, and address localization gaps against the global template.
• Conduct end‑user training, update DTPs from R/3 to S/4HANA, and create training material for the B2P organization.

Required profile

• Educational background in Cost Accounting, MBA Finance, or B.Com (preferably with MM exposure).
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in SAP S/4HANA MM, Sourcing & Procurement, and Inventory Management.
• Hands‑on experience with FI integration (GL, Material Ledger, account determination) and inventory valuation.
• Familiarity with Indian regulatory requirements such as GST, Ind AS, and Companies Act disclosures.
