Junior Software Developer in Test (IS&T)

About the role

Apple’s IS&T team is seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer in Test to help build and maintain high‑quality software services that power mission‑critical applications. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with developers, business partners, and project teams to deliver reliable, performant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute QE test plans, strategies, and test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Automate functional, performance, and code‑quality testing using tools such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber‑JVM, Appium, Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
• Leverage GenAI models to assist in coding and testing tasks.
• Perform functional, system, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Provide timely testing status updates and summarize results for project managers.
• Collaborate in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment following Agile practices.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test or Quality Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and make sound judgments in ambiguous situations.

Required skills

• Java, JavaScript, TypeScript programming languages.
• Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber‑JVM.
• REST API, Appium, Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter.
• Jenkins, SonarQube, CI/CD integration.
• Experience with GenAI models for coding or testing.
• Agile development methodology.
