Junior Agentic AI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Agentic AI Engineer to join our Data Analytics & AI team in Hyderabad. You will work on building and maintaining autonomous AI agents that interact with enterprise systems, under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Python functions and API wrappers that enable agents to perform actions such as querying SAP for material prices, following the MCP standard.
• Write unit tests and evaluation scripts using LLM-as-a-Judge to ensure agent accuracy, safety and usefulness.
• Monitor agent performance with observability tools, diagnosing issues like hallucinations or failed API calls.
• Create domain-specific agents (e.g., HR Policy Assistant, IT Ticket Classifier) using pre-validated Blueprints and Azure AI Foundry.
• Continuously upskill on AKS, Databricks and LangGraph, progressing from simple chatbots to complex autonomous systems.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Python programming, data structures and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control (GitHub) and basic cloud concepts (Azure or AWS).
• Hands-on experimentation with large language models (OpenAI API, Hugging Face) and familiarity with prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Comfortable working in Docker containers and eager to learn new technologies in a sandbox environment.
• Effective communicator who thrives in an agile, international team.
