About the role
We are looking for an Assistant Officer – Accounts to support accounting operations at our project site. The role involves handling day‑to‑day financial transactions, vendor payments, employee reimbursements, bank reconciliations and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions such as invoices, payments, receipts, journal entries and employee claims in the accounting system.
- Assist in processing vendor bills, coordinating with procurement and site teams for invoice validation and approvals.
- Ensure timely payments to vendors and service providers, applying applicable GST and TDS deductions.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in coordination with the bank and internal teams.
- Support monthly closing activities, including ledger scrutiny, preparation of schedules and financial data reporting.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors, providing required data and documentation and addressing audit queries.
Required profile
- Ability to accurately record and maintain financial transactions.
- Experience in handling vendor invoices and payment cycles.
- Knowledge of GST and TDS deduction processes.
- Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Capability to support month‑end closing and prepare financial schedules.
- Strong coordination skills for working with internal teams and auditors.
