Wiring Harness Design Specialist (Siemens NX)

About the role

We are seeking a Wiring Harness Design Specialist proficient in Siemens NX to join Bosch’s engineering team in Bangalore. The role focuses on creating 3‑D routing solutions for complex electrical harnesses and supporting manufacturing documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Create and develop 3‑D wiring harness routing using Siemens NX Electrical Routing module according to packaging and design requirements.
• Prepare 2‑D flattening drawings, including wire lengths, bundle diameters, and branch details.
• Define and manage connectors, clips, clamps, and protective coverings within the NX library.
• Perform routing feasibility, bend‑radius checks, clearance analysis and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Generate and maintain BOMs, wiring tables, and harness documentation for manufacturing and validation.
• Assess electrical characteristics and EMC impact of harness designs.

Required profile

• BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in wiring harness design.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems analytically and collaborate effectively.

Required skills

• Medium to expert level proficiency with UG‑NX, Siemens NX Electrical Routing, Teamcenter and AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of electrical components and ability to read datasheets.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and mechanical standards.
• Experience with configuration files, templates and BOM generation.
