SOC Analyst – Security Operations Center

About the role

Medpace is seeking a full‑time SOC Analyst to join its Information Security team. The analyst will help protect the company’s digital infrastructure, cloud services, edge devices, and data from unauthorized access, modification, exfiltration, or damage.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer security solutions independently while collaborating with internal departments and vendors.
• Analyze security systems, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
• Research vulnerabilities, conduct vulnerability scanning, and mitigate threats.
• Develop and mature security best‑practice policies across the organization.
• Create new processes, cross‑train coworkers, and support employees on security‑related matters.
• Deliver security awareness training and testing for staff.
• Perform cyber‑security incident triage, review logs, and execute remediation activities.
• Review and reduce over‑provisioned access to enforce least‑privilege principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Prior internship or co‑op experience in information security.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage projects with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM platforms.
• Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools.
• Cloud architecture knowledge, preferably Azure.
• Privileged Access Management / Identity Access solutions.
• Active Directory administration.
• Fundamental scripting in PowerShell or Python.
