Shift Incharge – HEMM Track Maintenance

About the role

The Shift Incharge for the HEMM Track is responsible for overseeing equipment maintenance and ensuring smooth operation of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems during each shift. The role combines hands‑on technical work with team coordination to minimise downtime and meet OEM standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, major overhauls and repairs on engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps and other critical components.
• Diagnose, analyse and rectify faults in hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems to reduce machine downtime.
• Inspect, test and calibrate hydraulic circuits and vehicle systems, ensuring safe and leak‑free operation.
• Maintain compliance with quality, safety and environmental procedures, keeping accurate service and inspection records.
• Support the maintenance team and operators by providing technical guidance on system faults and preventive actions.
• Supervise routine and corrective maintenance activities, prepare shift reports and maintain maintenance records.
• Manage tools, manpower and spare parts efficiently, using SAP and MS Office for resource planning.

Required profile

• B.Tech or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, hydraulic systems and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to work in a shift environment and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
