Shift Engineer – PTA 7 – DMD

About the role

The Shift Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth production operations during assigned shifts. Working closely with the shift superintendent, you will supervise the crew, monitor equipment, and uphold safety and quality standards to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating and executing the shift operation plan in line with standards and regulations.
• Perform equipment monitoring, predictive maintenance, and data analysis using the OMPro tool.
• Conduct routine inspections, coordinate maintenance activities, and manage safe shutdown/start‑up procedures.
• Identify and mitigate risks, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate shift logs and support plant upsets.
• Collaborate with other plants and the maintenance department for job planning and execution.

Required profile

• Knowledge of rotary machine seal systems, seal‑pot level and pressure.
• Understanding of compressor lubrication systems, including temperature, pressure, and flow parameters.
• Familiarity with LO/LC valve status and instrument locations.
• Ability to communicate across plants and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and toolbox talks.
