Shift Engineer Electrical – CTU

About the role

The Shift Engineer Electrical (CTU) is responsible for planning and executing electrical maintenance activities in the workshop, ensuring reliable operation of LT/HT motors and related equipment. The role supports both routine and shutdown periods, adhering to statutory compliance and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct day‑to‑day maintenance while following all relevant policies, SOPs and safety procedures.
• Develop and standardise test procedures for electrical equipment.
• Prepare workshop maintenance cost estimates, budgets and optimisation inputs.
• Create daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules in coordination with planning and plant teams.
• Perform critical electrical maintenance, motor overhauling, rewinding and testing during normal operation and shutdowns.
• Coordinate external repairs and oversee maintenance of site‑wide electrical assets.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, track levels and ensure availability of critical spares.
• Support troubleshooting, repair and refurbishment of electrical components.
• Prepare compliance documentation, audit records and MIS reports.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer with extensive experience in electrical workshop maintenance.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Familiarity with statutory, HSE and quality compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical skills for cost optimisation and KPI monitoring.
