SEO Lead

About the role

Allied Legal, a boutique Australian commercial law firm, is looking for a senior SEO Lead to own and drive its organic growth strategy. This full‑time remote position is based in India and will work closely with the Director and Marketing & Operations Associate to shape how the firm is discovered, ranked, and trusted online.

Key responsibilities

• Own the SEO performance roadmap and forecasting.
• Lead full technical SEO strategy, including audits, site architecture, indexing, Core Web Vitals and migrations.
• Design and execute keyword and topic authority strategies for startup, tech and commercial law verticals.
• Improve site structure, internal linking, and conversion pathways.
• Implement SEO best practices across development and content workflows.
• Optimise content for AI‑driven search engines and generative platforms (GEO).
• Stay ahead of evolving search algorithms and emerging SEO trends.
• Lead SEO content strategy across blogs, landing pages and thought‑leadership pieces.
• Collaborate with lawyers to translate legal insights into high‑performing content.
• Oversee content optimisation for ranking, engagement and conversions.
• Design content clusters and topical authority frameworks.
• Repurpose content across multiple digital channels.
• Own GA4, Google Search Console and SEO tool reporting frameworks.
• Drive improvements in organic traffic, rankings and lead generation.
• Identify new growth opportunities in startup and legal search markets.
• Optimise conversion from organic traffic to inbound leads.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on SEO experience (agency or in‑house).
• Strong technical SEO expertise, including site architecture, indexing, Core Web Vitals and migrations.
• Proven track record of building and executing end‑to‑end SEO growth strategies.
• Deep understanding of on‑page, off‑page and content SEO at scale.
• Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console.
