Senior Specialist Cyber Security Strategy Architecture

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Specialist to lead cyber security strategy and architecture within our GDS/BA enterprise environment. The role involves shaping security concepts, evaluating new solutions, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations across a global, regulatory‑focused setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cyber security architectures, including network segmentation, firewalls, endpoint protection and anomaly detection.
• Evaluate, pilot and roll out new security solutions aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Provide consulting and advisory services on IT/OT security and data protection law.
• Interpret and apply relevant security standards such as NIST and ISO 27000 series.
• Collaborate with international teams to support regulatory compliance and data‑privacy initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Business Informatics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in comparable cyber security positions.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to devise situational solutions quickly.
• In‑depth knowledge of data‑protection regulations and a passion for privacy.
• Business‑fluent English (B2) and German language skills.

Required skills

• Network segmentation, firewalls, endpoint security, anomaly detection.
• Zero Trust architecture principles.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27000, ISO 27001 standards.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CIPP/E (preferred).
• Proficient use of MS‑Office.
