Senior Software Engineer - AI Platform & Cloud Services

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join its Core AI Services team in Bangalore. You will design, develop, and scale secure, cloud‑native AI platform services and public APIs that become the foundation for AI adoption across AVEVA’s product portfolio and partner ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple teams to create end‑to‑end AI solutions, including model deployment, training pipelines, and AI tooling.
• Build scalable, fault‑tolerant services on Microsoft Azure using PaaS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Develop well‑documented, versioned RESTful APIs and SDKs for internal and external developers.
• Embed robust security controls for authentication, authorization, and data privacy.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions to ensure engineering excellence.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in software engineering, preferably in platform or cloud‑native service development.
• Strong expertise in RESTful API design, lifecycle management, and security.
• Hands‑on experience architecting and deploying containerised AI workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to analyse complex technical challenges.
