Senior Engineer, Product Development (Robotic cleaning)

About the role

The Senior Engineer, Product Development (Robotic cleaning) will be based in Hyderabad and reports to the Manager – Product Engineering and Sustaining. You will lead the development of robotic cleaning products from concept through to production launch, ensuring design quality and manufacturability.

Key responsibilities

• Drive projects from conceptualization to start of production, capturing design requirements and validation plans.
• Manage all design activities including RFQs, design freeze/release, DFMEA, PPAP, and design verification/product validation testing.
• Perform FEA and CAE analyses to improve reliability and reduce warranty issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, product management, NPI, and suppliers on DFM discussions.
• Generate manufacturing drawings, prototypes, and support testing facilities.
• Review quality documents (PPAP, FAI reports) and provide engineering support to manufacturers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience, especially in plastic component design.
• Proven track record leading product development of injection‑molded, vacuum‑formed, and low‑pressure injection molded parts.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, DFM, and reliability improvement.
