Senior Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Senior Buyer will manage the procurement of critical items for manufacturing sites, ensuring technical specifications match user requirements and vendor offers. The role involves negotiating with vendors, evaluating alternatives, and overseeing the ordering process within the SAP system.

Key responsibilities

• Float enquiries for critical items based on user needs.
• Validate and approve technical requirements from users against vendor specifications.
• Conduct second‑round negotiations with vendors and provide recommendations to the buying manager.
• Finalize purchases, enter orders in SAP, and manage documentation.
• Address internal and external audit issues related to procurement and support other buyers in resolution.

Required profile

• B.Tech or B.E. degree.
• 6–9 years of experience in category sourcing and manufacturing procurement.
• Experience with category‑based purchasing and supply management in a plant environment is desirable.

Required skills

• SAP ERP for purchase order processing.
