Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead Hilton's Purchasing Department, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards. This role supports hotel operations by managing supplier relationships, enforcing policies, and driving cost‑effective purchasing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Hilton purchasing policies and procedures across all transactions.
• Supervise and coordinate the daily work of the Purchasing team.
• Verify supplier insurance coverage and compliance with global policy requirements.
• Update and communicate purchase order procedures, limits, and approval workflows.
• Ensure purchase orders are issued only after proper authorization.
• Obtain competitive quotes in line with policy and review all purchase requests and orders processed by the team.
• Conduct regular market price surveys with the Cost Controller and Executive Chef.
• Compare prices with other hotels to secure the best quotations.
• Maintain strong relationships with hotel departments and suppliers.
• Investigate unmatched or open purchase orders and propose corrective actions.
• Review rolling contracts and manage tender approvals for purchases over $100,000.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to the Director of Finance.
• Ensure month‑end procedures are completed on time.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of Hilton purchasing policies and global compliance standards.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a purchasing team.
• Strong analytical skills for market surveys and cost analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal departments and external suppliers.
