Production Operator – Shift

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join its manufacturing team in Dewas. The role involves executing planned production activities on a shift basis, ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards while supporting continuous plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled production tasks during assigned shifts and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Enter data into BPRs and maintain equipment log books, cleaning records, and calibration records as per SOPs.
• Maintain shop‑floor discipline, ensure a harmonious work environment, and hand over duties to a trained colleague at shift change.
• Uphold ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements, manage hazardous waste disposal, and enforce EHS and safety practices.
• Follow cGMP guidelines, keep equipment and surrounding areas clean, and ensure instruments are calibrated.
• Update training records for self and plant personnel and keep equipment in a qualified state.
• Execute validation and qualification activities according to established protocols.
• Plan manpower efficiently to maximize productivity.

Required profile

• Educational qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work responsibly on a shift schedule and maintain accurate documentation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cGMP practices.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Experience with equipment calibration and validation/qualification procedures.
