Production Operator

About the role

Sun Pharma is seeking a diligent Production Operator to join its manufacturing team in Dewas. You will be responsible for executing shift‑based production plans while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned production activities per shift schedule and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Record production data in BPRs and maintain all required documentation (equipment log books, cleaning and calibration records) according to SOPs.
• Maintain a dedicated workstation, hand over duties to a trained colleague, and inform supervisors before leaving.
• Uphold shop‑floor discipline and foster harmonious employee relations.
• Operate the plant safely, adhering to ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and EHS guidelines.
• Verify hazardous waste disposal and ensure compliance with cGMP practices.
• Keep equipment and surrounding areas clean; ensure equipment remains qualified and instruments calibrated.
• Update training records for self and plant personnel in a timely manner.
• Perform validation and qualification activities as per established protocols.
• Plan manpower efficiently for each shift to maximize productivity.

Required profile

• M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical production environment.
