Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement Officer is responsible for end‑to‑end purchasing operations, from contract implementation to payment. The role ensures smooth execution of purchase orders, invoice processing, and compliance with internal controls across the assigned country, region, or category.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage contracts from requisition through first‑invoice payment, including blanket and change orders.
• Implement operational procurement plans for raw material (RMAT) sourcing and ensure adherence to lead‑time and supplier ratios.
• Handle invoice management, resolve on‑hold invoices, and support pre‑payment processes when required.
• Analyze and resolve non‑technical or non‑critical non‑conformities related to quantity, price, delay, ordering, and invoicing.
• Provide first‑level support to internal partners and suppliers on the Request to Pay (R2P) process.
• Monitor data quality, track KPIs for PO creation, payment timeliness, and commercial data conformity.
• Participate in governance meetings, share best practices, and contribute operational recommendations.
• Tutor and mentor peers, promoting continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of procurement and contract deployment processes.
• Experience with invoice management and resolution of supplier claims.
• Ability to work with internal control rules and audit follow‑ups.
• Excellent analytical skills for KPI monitoring and process optimization.
