Principal / Chief Architect – Airport Project

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking a Principal/Chief Architect to lead the architectural design of a major airport project. The role involves shaping the overall vision, ensuring international standards, and integrating sustainability and aviation regulations into every design decision.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural planning, design, and detailing for airport facilities.
• Ensure compliance with global codes, sustainability practices, and aviation‑specific regulations.
• Develop and review architectural drawings, design reports, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, and façade teams for holistic design integration.
• Provide design leadership during construction, guaranteeing adherence to approved concepts.
• Mentor junior architects and facilitate knowledge transfer within the project team.
• Prepare feasibility studies, design presentations, and related documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in architectural design for large‑scale infrastructure, preferably airports.
• Strong knowledge of international aviation codes and sustainability standards.
• Proven leadership ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with engineering disciplines.
