Medical Coding Trainer – US Healthcare

About the role

Ventra is seeking an experienced Medical Coding Trainer to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for coding professionals across multiple specialties. The role focuses on ensuring trainees master US healthcare coding standards and can apply them effectively in real‑world settings.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop curriculum covering CPT, ICD‑10, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
• Conduct engaging training sessions both in‑person and virtually.
• Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on multi‑specialty coding practices and regulatory compliance.
• Provide mentorship and ongoing support to trainees.
• Collaborate with HR, compliance, and operations to align training with organizational goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.
• Minimum 5 years of medical coding experience.
• At least 2 years of experience delivering training.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10, and HCPCS coding systems.
