Maintenance Officer – Plant Utilities

About the role

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of plant utilities and equipment at our manufacturing site. You will lead both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, troubleshoot breakdowns, and support safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and complete routine shift maintenance tasks and address any pending work.
• Perform routine, breakdown and preventive maintenance on utilities, packaging machines, compressors, chillers, pumps, valves and rotary equipment.
• Conduct physical inspections of all plant equipment to verify proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot leaks and equipment failures, providing rapid solutions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and safety (SHE) guidelines.
• Guide and train personnel on SHE practices and support work‑permit processes.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and execute proper shift handovers.

Required profile

• ITI (Fitter/MMCP/Turner) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to apply Bunge’s business knowledge to develop innovative maintenance solutions.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Pumps and valves maintenance.
• Rotary equipment, motors and mechanical assemblies.
• Operation of grinding, drilling, welding, cutting and lathe machines.
• Hydraulic press handling.
• Use of Alfa Level Separator tools and general maintenance tools and tackles.
