Japanese‑Bilingual L2 Server Engineer (Linux/Windows)

About the role

Capgemini is looking for a disciplined L2 Engineer to join its high‑security offshore development centre in Chennai. You will manage a hybrid infrastructure for a Japanese client, handling both legacy and cloud environments while communicating professionally in Japanese.

Key responsibilities

• Full‑stack administration of Windows and Linux servers, VMware clusters, and Azure/GCP cloud instances.
• Proactive monitoring and incident response using JP1, Absonne, Emerald and ServiceNow.
• Scripting health‑checks and automation tasks in PowerShell and Bash.
• Backup management, integrity verification and recovery drills.
• Network and security tasks including firewall ACLs, load‑balancer configuration and SSL/TLS certificate renewals.
• Adherence to Japanese “Hou‑Ren‑So” reporting and “Zero‑Defect” quality standards.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of infrastructure support experience.
• Strong command‑line proficiency on Linux and Windows platforms.
• JLPT N2 or N3 certification with high spoken and written Japanese proficiency.
• Ability to work in a strictly controlled, high‑security environment.
