About the role
Amazon is looking for a highly analytical In‑Stock Manager to lead inventory strategies for Project Tez. You will be responsible for driving high in‑stock rates, optimizing sales and margins, and improving the overall customer experience through data‑driven decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain excellent in‑stock rates for assigned categories or regions.
- Execute inventory strategies that balance sales, turnover, and inventory health.
- Monitor and own KPIs such as in‑stock rate, procurement lead time, fill rate, forecast accuracy, and days of cover.
- Forecast and manage inbound and outbound inventory flows, including purchasing and removal of unproductive stock.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis of operational issues, develop action plans, and manage multiple improvement projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive tool and process enhancements, focusing on automation of manual tasks.
Required profile
- 3+ years of experience with Excel.
- 5+ years in retail, operations, product or program management, or business consulting with a focus on negotiations and results delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional/military experience.
- Proven experience in financial analysis and P&L ownership.
