Finance Controller – Manufacturing Industry – Chennai

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead all financial and accounting activities for a medium‑sized manufacturing organisation in Chennai. Reporting directly to senior management, the role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and provides strategic insights to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily financial and accounting operations, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss, and cash flow reports.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to aid strategic decision‑making.
• Monitor financial risks, implement cost‑control measures, and oversee tax filings.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
• Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in financial management within the manufacturing sector.
• Background working with US‑headquartered organisations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical ability with high attention to detail.
