Consultant – Medicine

About the role

The Medicine Department is seeking an experienced Consultant to deliver outpatient services, admit and manage patients, and contribute to departmental initiatives. This position requires independent clinical decision‑making and close collaboration with senior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient department (OPD) consultations on assigned days.
• Admit patients under your care, oversee their treatment, and ensure safe discharge.
• Participate in departmental activities, meetings, and programs.
• Coordinate with senior colleagues and the Director to follow departmental SOPs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Provide clear instructions to patients regarding follow‑up visits.
• Adhere to hospital guidelines applicable to Associate Consultants.

Required profile

• MD or DNB degree in Medicine.
• 5–7 years of experience in a similar clinical role.
• Ability to work independently and manage patient care end‑to‑end.
• Strong understanding of hospital SOPs and patient documentation standards.
