Computer Network Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an autonomous, high‑integrity Computer Network Security Engineer to join our AI‑first e‑commerce company in Delhi. You will own the design, implementation and continuous improvement of our network defenses, ensuring resilience against evolving cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain highly secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs and IDS/IPS.
• Configure and manage next‑gen firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) and VPN solutions (IPsec, SSL).
• Continuously monitor networks for vulnerabilities, active threats and potential breaches.
• Lead incident response, perform root‑cause analysis and drive rapid remediation.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and data protection laws.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering and data‑science teams to harden systems, enforce Zero Trust access controls and elevate overall security posture.
• Educate staff on security best practices, mitigate insider threats and foster a security‑first culture.

Required profile

• Based in Delhi (or willing to relocate immediately) and able to work on‑site in a hybrid model.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field.
• 4+ years of proven experience as a Network Security Engineer, Information Security Analyst or similar role managing complex IT infrastructure.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with next‑gen firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
• Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching).
• Proficiency with VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN).
• Experience using SIEM platforms, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and network monitoring solutions.
• Implementation and management of IDS/IPS.
